Fieramosca Trattoria
Serving lunch and dinner daily since 1980, Fieramosca Trattoria offers a quaint atmosphere for upscale dining. On the lunch menu, you'll find appetizers, as well as entrees. Start with the Carpaccio di Alba, a dish of marinated beef, thinly sliced and served with Parmigiano, capers, lemon, arugula and extra virgin olive oil. Next, move on to the Tortellini in Brodo, a soup of tortellini stuffed with veal and pork blend in a beef broth. Dinner offers even more options, including Pappardelle Fieramosca, which is pappardelle with sauteed shrimp and porcini mushrooms in a tomato white wine sauce; or Pesce Spada alla Griglia, a grilled swordfish served with steamed vegetables. Fieramosca also serves gourmet pizzas and has an extensive wine list. The private dining room on the upper level features a terrace and holds up to 40 people.

The Host
Established in 1997, the Host serves up fine Indian cuisine made from only the freshest ingredients. The elegant dining room offers a Victorian-era feel with dark wood and rich jewel tones. In 2003, the restaurant received the award for Patron's Pick of Toronto's Favorite Restaurants. Starts include the Pakora Platter, a plate of vegetable pakora and onion bhajia, deep-fried in spicy gram flour batter. Try one of the many seafood dishes, such as the Lazee-E-Jhinga, a Host original. This dish features shrimp cooked with a unique blend of fresh asparagaus, tamarind, poppy seeds and coconut milk. Murgh Jahangire offers tender chunks of chicken in a curry of yogurt and spices with juliennes of sweet peppers and a dash of saffron, while Malai Matar Paneer is a dish of green peas and cottage cheese cooked in a tomato and cashew blend. The private dining room offers custom-tailored menus. Reservations are strongly recommended.
