There are many quality hotels in Connecticut near Metro North's Hudson Line to New York City. The Hudson Valley rail service runs from Poughkeepsie through towns like Beacon, Fishkill and Croton Harmon, and ends in Manahattan. Golfing opportunities in the area include the Overlook Golf Center in Poughkeepsie, which has a driving range and an 18-hole miniature course of challenging, par-72 play.
