Chinese Restaurants in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach, Florida is a magnet for golfers but never more so than when winter kicks in up north. It's not all about golf though. Aside from surf and sand, visitors to West Palm Beach can enjoy world-class antiquing, browsing the magnificent botanical gardens and even taking in a polo match. In between one must eat, and in West Palm Beach there is plenty to choose from, including Chinese eateries.

Wild Ginger Bistro

The Wild Ginger Bistro is in the CityPlace dining and entertainment complex. Decor here is traditional with a modern twist. Chinese specialties share the menu with Thai selections. The lunch menu is divided between "Hong Kong" and "Bangkok." Salads at the Wild Ginger Bistro are a special treat. Try the seaweed salad, the ginger salad or the yum woonseen salad with bean thread noodles, red onions, scallions and spicy lime juice. For a bit extra, add chicken or shrimp. Desserts take another turn, this time toward American cuisine. To stick with the theme, try the tempura cheesecake.

Grandlake Chinese Cuisine

Specializing in Cantonese cuisine and dim sum--Chinese brunch--Grandlake Chinese Cuisine in the Riverwalk neighborhood of West Palm Beach has far more to offer than the average Chinese restaurant. There are more than a dozen soups on the menu, including a pricey tureen of shark fin soup with crab. Seafood selections include fresh squid satay and sliced conch with mixed vegetables. There is a Mongolian lamb as well as sauteed lamb with chive flowers and many other inventive meat dishes even including a fried t-bone steak with oyster sauce.

Singing Bamboo

Singing Bamboo is another good choice for dim sum--the Chinese brunch that features so many sweet and savory steamed buns as well as other small dishes only found in dim sum houses. Singing Bamboo's standard menu is pleasing as well, and there is a section devoted to healthy dining which includes an oriental cold chicken salad and a steamed fresh Key West snapper--a perfect choice in South Florida.
