Jekyl & Hyde
Jekyl & Hyde is one of many bars in Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood, located just 2 blocks south of the main drag on Carson Street. A creepy Halloween theme welcomes patrons, complete with plasma light and dangling plastic skulls. The haunted house decor is just part of the fun here. Jekyl & Hyde features a pool table as well as cheap beer and shot specials as well as Thursday night karaoke. A jukebox is also available when the live music stops, and the party atmosphere here carries on throughout the night. Popular with the college and young professional crowd, Jekyl & Hyde is one of the more unique bars in Pittsburgh.

Ryan's Pub & Grill
Ryan's Pub & Grill sits at the major intersection of Braddock and Forbes Avenues in Pittsburgh's quiet Regent Square neighborhood, a residential area near Frick Park. Ryan's serves up a variety of classic bar food including Reuben sandwiches and fried pierogis. You'll also find tasty Irish beers like Guinness on tap. Ryan's is a casual sports bar on most days, but Sunday evenings are reserved for a popular karaoke night. A jovial crowd of 20-somethings and slightly older professionals participates in the sing-along action with drinks in hand. Ryan's Pub & Grill can be a bit on the expensive side, but this is only relative to the very cheap prices of college bars in Oakland and the South Side.
