Since then, Salvatore Faso has been cooking Italian food with fresh produce, fresh fish and the best meats available. Rubino's Pizza has been serving Mission Viejo since 1976. Rubino's is well-known for making pizzas to order, using freshly made dough, pizza sauce, and 100-percent mozzarella cheese. There is even a Rubino's Special Pizza that comes topped with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, red onion, and bacon bits. You can order several other pizzas from the menu or customize your own. Peppino's Italian Family Restaurant in Mission Viejo sits adjacent to Lake Mission Viejo. The inside of the restaurant has a casual atmosphere while the patio has a waterfront view of the lake.
While Peppino's serves traditional Italian food, they are also well-known for their own creations. They have created such dishes as the stromboli, lina rolls, spinach bread, and peppino bread.
