Leland, North Carolina, which is five minutes west of Wilmington, draws visitors looking for golfing or boating vacations. These days, many people choose to travel with their pets. Unfortunately, some hotels will not allow cats to lodge with their owners. Travelers to Leland need not worry about not being able to extend their trips due to not finding suitable lodging for their pets because there are many boarding facilities that will accept pets in Leland and nearby Wilmington.
Capeside Animal Hospital
Capeside offers a small boarding service in addition to its usual veterinary care business, and boarders do not need to be existing clients. Cats are fed either the hospital's premium food or food brought from home. Cats must be up-to-date on FVRCP and rabies vaccinations and must have had an annual exam in the year before boarding, so owners should be prepared to show proof of these procedures. Capeside's policy does not allow personal toys to stay with pets as they may become choking hazards. Space is limited, so clients should call well in advance of expected need.
