Ondine Restaurant
Ondine made its debut on Danbury's culinary scene in 1985. The restaurant is located in a quaint stone and stucco house on a hillside overlooking Margerie Lake Reservoir. The warm and inviting main dining room is decorated in French country style, and a covered patio offers al fresco dining in the summer months.
The menu features high-end authentic French cuisine that is complemented by an extensive wine list. Dinners are prix fixe and are offered up family-style on Sundays. Popular dishes include cream of mussel soup with saffron, braised monkfish with morels and Pinot Noir and their poached pear dessert with white wine, saffron and Stilton cheese. Ondine serves dinner Wednesday through Monday and is closed on Tuesdays. Reservations are strongly recommended.
