Founded in 1812, Victor, New York is approximately 16.4 miles southeast of Rochester. As of July 2008, the population of Victor was 2,560, according to City Data. India House
Located three and a half miles from the nine-hole, public Winding Creek Golf Course, India House specializes in Indian cuisine. Each day, India House features an all-you-can-eat Indian lunch buffet that features many of the restaurants signature dishes found on the dinner menu nightly. For appetizers, the samosas or crisp, savory pastries are available with lamb or as a vegetarian dish containing potatoes and peas. India House also offers a number of dishes grilled in the restaurant's clay tandoor, such as the kastori kabab--skewered chicken breast marinated in ginger, garlic and peppercorns. Seafood dishes at India House include fish vindaloo in a spicy curry sauce and lobster malai, which consists of lobster tails removed from the shells and served in a sauce made from saffron and cardamon spices.

Giovanni's Ristorante
Situated two miles from the four public courses at Victor Hills Golf Club, Giovanni's Ristorante serves Italian dishes prepared by executive chef Jim Paulino. To start the meal, Giovanni's offers a number of antipasti, including a platter large enough for two to share that contains roasted red peppers, Italian sausage, provolone and mozzarella cheeses and garlic bread. Amongst the pasta dishes on the menu is the pasta di Roma, a combination of penne pasta, grape tomatoes, prosciutto, fresh basil and asiago cheese served in a vodka tomato sauce. Seafood lovers may sample the salmone spada al dolcino, a wild salmon filet cooked with capers, garlic and raisins in wine sauce and served over risotto. Reservations are recommended.
