Springerville, Arizona, is a small mountain town located at 7,000 feet elevation about 15 miles from the New Mexico border. On the east side of Springerville is Reed's Motor Lodge. The Alpine Country Club's golf course is about 30 miles to the south, down U.S. 180. Although it features modern amenities, the hotel is designed to feel like an old-time country lodge. A gift shop, with local art for sale, is adjoined to the hotel lobby, and features rustic wooden furniture. Booga Red's restaurant is across the street from the hotel.
