Korea House
Open since 1979, the original Korea House planted the seeds for Dallas' initially tiny Korean community. Korea House serves a variety of rice dishes, broiled fish, soups, hot pot, porridge and Korean barbecue. A small but well-stocked sushi bar sits in the middle of the dining room. Lunch specials include the soup of the day and rice. Try the kal bi, a meat dish marinated and grilled over an open flame, or the man du guk, a dumpling stew in beef broth. Order a side of kimchi, spicy fermented cabbage that is a Korean staple, and wash down your meal with a selection of Asian beers, sake or Korean liquor. Korea House is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Private dining rooms are available for family gatherings or small business meetings, or a banquet hall can be reserved to seat up to 80 guests.

Seoul Garden
Considered "among the best ethnic restaurants in Dallas" by the Dallas Observer, Seoul Garden has been popular with Dallas residents since the early '90s. Unassumingly located next to a gas station in Koreatown, this small restaurant serves fresh sushi, the ubiquitous kimchi, Korean barbecue and other traditional favorites. Try the bulgogi or monk-fish soup, served in a clay pot to keep the soup hot throughout the meal. Enjoy barbecued meats cooked at your table while Korean dramas subtitled in English play on flat-screen TVs. Finish your meal with a complimentary slice of watermelon.
Semi-private tables are available for large parties. Seoul Garden is open for lunch Monday through Saturday and serves dinner.
