Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub
Waxy O'Connor's made its debut in 1997 as a high-end Irish pub serving pints of Guinness along with Irish and American cuisine. Rich wood tones and neutral colors give the venue a warm and sophisticated feel. The large wrap-around bar, surrounded by plenty of comfortable leather bar chairs, serves as the focal point of the pub. Seating has been arranged in a variety of groupings including corner banquettes, booths and round tables with plenty of seats for card games. Several flat-screen televisions are discreetly placed around the pub, and a large pool table set near the bar offers the opportunity for lively competition. The menu combines authentic Irish and American favorites and features snacks, appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and sides. Popular dishes include bangers and mash, barbecued ribs and Irish-style fish and chips. A full 10 beers are on tap, including Guinness, Harp and Smithwick Ale. Waxy's is open for lunch and dinner seven days per week and offers a late-night menu on the weekends.
