Twin Birches is located on the western shore of Lake George and offers terraced grounds that lead to a swimming beach, boat dock and swimming raft. They accept all kinds of pets but ask that you kindly put down a refundable deposit ($100 as of 2009) during your stay. Guests with pets are restricted to eight of the 62 units at the complex. Dogs must be kept on a leash; they are not allowed at the office, the pool or the game room. The 22 acres of grounds provide plenty of places to walk and take Fido for his morning constitutional while the one- to five-bedroom units each feature kitchens, private baths and decks.

Whispering Pines Cottages
Located in the heart of Lake George Village, Whispering Pines Cottages combines the convenience of easy walking access to area shops, restaurants and the lake with the comfort of your own little home away from home. The place is not only pet-friendly but they offer services such as pet-walking and pet-sitting while you run off to hit the course or tour the town. Cottages range from one to four bedrooms and provide kitchens, carpeting, cable TV, air conditioning and porches for human guests plus leashes and food and water dishes for their four-legged friends.

Rosie's Country Cabins & Lakeview Cottages
Rosie's not only offers country cabins just south of Lake George Village, but you can also get a lakeside cottage. They have 22 units and offer pet-friendly accommodations with no strings attached. The only stipulation is that your pet is well-behaved and house-trained. The units range in size from one-bedroom all the way up to four-bedroom. Each of the cabins and cottages come with a cooking area, cable TV, air conditioning and at least one private bath. The cabins in the woods have an outdoor pool, while the lakeside cottages have two restaurants on the property.
