The Driskill Hotel
Originally built in 1886, the Driskill is located at Sixth and Brazos Street. The balcony guest rooms overlook Sixth Street and open up via French doors. In addition, the hotel offers guest rooms with views of downtown and one king bed or two queen beds; Senate suites with additional sleeper sofas and separate living areas; and the 12th-floor rooms that include turn-down service and free breakfast and drinks. The fitness studio is open 24 hours a day and includes two private steam rooms and cardiovascular equipment. On-site therapists can perform many types of massage therapy. Doubletree Guest Suites Austin
The Doubletree is four blocks south of the university at 15th and Lavaca. Many of the nearly 200 suites feature balconies with views of the university tower or Capitol building. These suites also come with one or two bedrooms with one king bed or one to three queens, plus additional sofa beds. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, along with rooms for the handicapped. Located at Cesar Chavez and San Jacinto, the Four Seasons is on the north shore of Lady Bird Lake. The nearly 300 guest rooms can come with balconies overlooking downtown or the lake.
