Cafe Mezzanotte
Boasting friendly service and authentic Italian cuisine, Cafe Mezzanotte is owned by Chef Sergio Pellegrino. Guests enjoy traditional dining or private dining in an elegant private room, or get some fresh air with patio dining during warmer months. Lunch items include appetizers, such as Mozzarella Caprese, a dish of mozzarella cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil drizzled in olive oil and entrees like grilled paninis, pizza, and Penne with Seafood, a dish of penne pasta in a white wine suace with assorted seafood. For dinner, diners might want to try the Tuna Capraccio, made of thinly sliced raw tuna with grapefruit over arugula in a lemon olive oil dressing or the Rigatoni Brandy featuring ritatoni, pancetta, artichokes and porcini mushrooms in a brandy sauce. In addition to the large menu, monthly wine dinners are served, allowing diners to take advantage of the large collection of imported and domestic wines, as well as the full martini bar. Catering and takeout is available. Cafe Mezzanotte is closed on Sundays.

Mrs. Robino's
Open since 1940 and located in the heart of Wilmington's Little Italy, Mrs. Robino's offers homemade Italian specialties, such as soups, pastas and desserts. The warm family atmosphere has won Best of Delaware as well as New Journal's Reader's Choice Award. Open daily, Mrs. Robino's offers unique menu items, such as Cauliflower Fritto, an appetizer featuring dusted and fried cauliflower served with creamy garlic dipping sauce and Pasta Fagioli, a homemade soup featuring homemade pasta in rich tomato broth with kidney beans. The pasta is made from scratch daily and served with the housemade specialty sauce, Mrs. Robino's own secret recipe. In addition to traditional pastas, the restaurant serves Ginocchi, an Italian potato dumpling and a meatball tossed in the restaurant's special sauce. Several specialty sauces are also available. For dessert, one option is the Tortini, an eggnog flavored ice cream with coconut shavings. Luncheon specials are offered each weekday and the restaurant also serves traditional sandwiches and burgers.

Pomodoro Ristorante Italiano
Awarded "Best Upscale Italian Restaurant" in both 2008 and 2009 by Best of Delaware, Pomodoro Ristorante's chef, Giuseppe Furio, personally inspects and accepts the herbs, veggies, fish and meats that he uses to prepare his dishes. Located in Little Italy, Pomodoro offers homemade gourmet and classic Italian food, as well as catering. It is recommended to stop in for lunch and taste the Fritto Misto, a dish of fried calamari, smelts, and jumbo shrimp served with fresh lemon and marinara. Paninis are another popular menu item, including Panino al Italiana, a parma prosciutto soppressata served with sharp provolone cheese with rucola, tomato, and cherry peppers in a ciabatta bread. For dinner, the Fettuccine Verdi Bolognese, a homemade spinach fettuccine in a tomato meat sauce with parmigiana regiano or the Pollo Ripieno, a chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese, and spinach before being pan seared in a white with sauce and served with potenta, are popular dishes. Closed Mondays, Pomodoro requires reservations for large parties or special groups.
