A traffic circle that features a marble statue of explorer Christopher Columbus on top of a granite column, Columbus Circle is a New York city landmark that is located at the southwestern tip of Central Park. Golfers who are in Manhattan, whether to shop for professional equipment and apparel or to attend a golf clinic at the Chelsea Piers Golf Club, will find that there are many of the city's finest restaurants around Columbus Circle.

Per Se

Per Se is an American-style fine dining restaurant that is located right on Columbus Circle near the intersection of 8th Avenue. The menu at Per Se features dishes that are created using ingredients from local farmers and producers. These dishes include pan roasted day boat sea scallops, served with globe artichoke tortellini, watercress leaves, artichoke chips and Creme de Topinambours. The wine list is extensive and international and features many high-end French and Italian labels. Per Se is open for lunch, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and dinner seven nights a week.

Gabriel's

Gabriel's is an upscale northern Italian cuisine restaurant that is located just a half a block from Columbus Circle on West 60th Street. The menu at Gabriel's features a selection of house-made pasta as well as wood grilled entrees, like the porcini glazed veal loin chop served with braised red cabbage and roasted vegetables. The wine list focuses on Italian varietals but there are many domestic labels to choose from as well. Gabriel's is open for lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Monday through Saturday.

Jean Georges

Jean Georges is a French influenced fine dining restaurant that is located across the street from Columbus Circle on Central Park West. The menu at Jean Georges features classically prepared entrees like the smoked Squab a L'Orange, Asian pear and candied tamarind. Fresh local berry tarts and dark chocolate confections like the Giandula Jasmine mousse are shining stars on Jean Georges's dessert list. Jean Georges is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
