Sparks, Nevada is just outside of Reno. It offers many casinos and resorts as well as Golden Eagle Regional Park, Sparks Marina and Pah Rah Mountain Park. Golf courses in the area include the par-72 Wildcreek Golf Course and the par-72 Lake Course at the Resort at Red Hawk. Between gambling, hitting the greens and enjoying the northern Nevada landscape, try some traditional steak restaurants near the attractions.

David's Grill

This steak restaurant is a part of the Resort at Red Hawk, which also features a 7,140-yard public course called the Lakes Course. You don't have to be a guest at the resort to dining at this casual steakhouse, which includes a large dining room with table seating, ceiling fans, window view of the golf course, fireplace and blue carpet.

The restaurant is open seven days a week for dinner, and breakfast is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Steaks on the dinner menu include the 12-ounce slow-roasted prime rib au jus with sautéed vegetables, 7-ounce filet mignon with porcini mushrooms and a cabernet demi-glace, and the 12-ounce ribeye with fresh sautéed vegetables.

Vista Grille

This steak restaurant is within walking distance of Les Kick Jr. Park and Pah Rah Mountain Park. There is an elegant and inviting ambiance in the restaurant with its lounge booth seating, full bar area and outdoor patio seating. Casual attire is recommended and carry-out is also available.

The dining room is open for lunch and dinner Mondays through Fridays, and dinner only on the weekends. Steak entrees include New York strip steak with shiitake mushrooms and a soy glaze, a 10-ounce top sirloin with prawns and the 8-ounce filet mignon with a balsamic glaze and maitre de butter.

The restaurant is within three miles of Wildcreek Golf Course.

The Steakhouse Grill

Located near Sparks Marina Lake Park and Paradise Park, the Steakhouse Grill offers a wide selection of traditional American cuisine, including steaks, seafood, sandwiches, soups and salads. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere with table seating, brick walls and private banquet rooms for special occasions.

The steak house is a part of John Ascuaga's Nugget casino and resort. Open Tuesdays through Saturdays for dinner, steaks on the menu include the jackpot filet mignon, a 20-ounce rib eye steak, 24-ounce porterhouse and a New York strip steak.

The restaurant is within five miles of the Brookside Golf Course.
