Craft Farms Resort
Visit this public facility, and you will be exposed to the elegance of two Arnold Palmer designs, the Cotton Creek Club and Cypress Bend Club. The newer of the two courses, Cypress Bend was recently rated by Golf Digest as the country's most playable new course, a testament to Palmer's attention to detail, like the three staggered tees on each hole and the wide fairways and numerous lakes that dot the course. Cotton Creek Club plays to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees, but it is reduced to 6,000 yards from the white tees to accommodate the less-skilled golfer. Both courses offer a complete day of superb golf in a country club setting.

Glenlakes Golf Club
Former PGA Tour professional Bruce Devlin did his magic as architect when he designed the "Dunes" course at Glenlakes. It opened in 1989. It is almost 7,000 yards long from the back tees, and it has a course rating of 72.8 with a slope rating of 124. The "Dunes" course is reminiscent of Scottish links courses with its well-manicured fairways leading to greens with considerable break. If you have time for only nine holes, you can play the sporty "Lakes" course that is adjacent to the "Dunes," with its wide fairways and water on six of the holes. Like the "Dunes" course, the "Lakes" course also has several tee positions that make it accessible to golfers of any ability.

Soldiers Creek Golf Course
This golf course is located at Woerner Preserve that soon will become the Southeast's only top-of-the-line motor coach resorts. Although Soldiers Creek plays over 7,000 yards from the back tees, it also can play at slightly over 5,000 yards from front set of tees, making it playable for all golfers, regardless of their skills. Golfers can avail themselves of Soldier Creek's modern GPS system as they meander the beautifully manicured fairways that wind their way through Alabama's rolling hills

Lost Key Golf Course
This Arnold Palmer design opened in 2006 to rave reviews. Lost Key Golf Course is deceptively difficult in that it is only 6,800 yards from the championship tees, but its course rating is 74. 3 and its slope rating is high at 144. But it boasts four sets of tees to make the course playable for any skill level. The course's fairways and greens have been carefully sodded with a new type of grass that guarantees perfect conditioning all year long. It is the first golf course in the world that has been certified an an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary.

Perdido Bay Golf Club
Perdido Bay Golf Club opened in 1963. For 10 years, it was the site of the Pensacola Open where Nicklaus, Kite and Strange walked the fairways in search of victories. This 72-par golf course measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees, but considerably less from three other tees located on every hole. The golf course was totally redesigned in 2000 when many of the trees were removed to open up the golf course to make it more inviting. Also, elevation changes were made to counteract the flatness of typical Florida courses.
