The Dunes on the Waterfront
The Dunes on the Waterfront encompasses 12 acres buffering the ocean featuring cottages with beach access. Trolleys stop at the entrance of the hotel, which allows for easy sightseeing. The resort has been family owned and operated for 70 years. It has a heated outdoor pool and miles of walking trails. The Dunes on the Waterfront has three types of cottages. The smallest, cottage suites, sleeps only two. Most of the cottage suites exist in one building, which makes them seem more like suites. The one-bedroom sleeps a maximum of four people and the similar two bedroom sleeps up to five. Most of the one-bedroom cottages are located in a larger building and are not detached; two-bedroom cottages are in single, detached buildings. Besides 19 one- and two- bedroom cottages, 17 guest rooms are available. The Cape Neddick Country Club is an 18-hole, par-71 golf course less than a mile way. A pro shop is on the premises.

There are three types of cottages. The Sandpiper features a galley kitchen with all appliances and utensils. The small studio-styled cottage sleeps only three, with two in a queen-sized bed and another on a pull-out love seat. Generally, this is the least expensive of the three styles. The Sandcastle includes two bedrooms, a full kitchen, living space and one bathroom. It sleeps six and offers two televisions, all regular kitchen appliances, VCR, DVD player and two air conditioners. The Sand Dollar has two bedrooms, two baths and a kitchenette. Television, air conditioning and a full deck complete the package. Cape Neddick Country Club is also close to Oqunquit Cottages.
