Charleston, South Carolina, is a popular vacation destination because of its abundance of championship golf courses, situation on the coast and offering fun for all skill levels. According to the Charleston Area Convention and Visitor Bureau website, there are four beach resorts conveniently located a short distance from Charleston, each with its own golf courses. In addition to championship links, beach resorts in Charleston feature miles of beaches, restaurants and a variety of accommodations.

Located in Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes Resort offers a variety of accommodation styles ranging from vacation homes and condo rentals to standard luxury rooms. The Harbor Course and Links Course at Wild Dunes Resort features 36 holes that accommodates golfers at all skill levels. Golf Digest ranked the courses at Wild Dunes Resort, which are designed by Tom Fazio, as among the "Best in the State" for South Carolina. Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Featuring an award-winning collection of golf courses, Kiawah Island Golf Resort also boasts more than 10 miles of private beach and is located next to Charleston. Guests can choose from the Oceanfront Resort Hotel--The Sanctuary Hotel, vacation home rentals, condos and villas. There are five championship golf courses at Kiawah Island Golf Resort---The Ocean Course, Turtle Point Golf Course, Osprey Point Golf Course, Oak Point Golf Course and Cougar Point Golf Course---designed by Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player and Clyde Johnson. Seabrook Island Resort

Located just 1/2 hour from Charleston, Seabrook Island Resort is a private island community able to be accessed only by club members and their guests.
