Gulfport, Mississippi, sits on the Gulf Coast just east of the Louisiana border. This beachfront community is popular with tourists, its warm climate and offshore breezes making it a comfortable spot for outdoor activities. The Mississippi Gulf Coast is dotted with casinos, one of which sits in Gulfport on the beach.

Island View Casino Reort

The Island View Casino Resort is Gulfport's only casino remaining after Hurricane Katrina. Featuring more than 2,000 slot machines and nearly 50 gaming tables spread over 83,000 square feet, the casino is the centerpiece of a large resort. The adjoining hotel has more than 500 rooms and suites, and Emeril Lagasse's Gulf Coast Fish house is a major attraction. Shows generally run Wednesday through Saturday night.

There are nine other casinos along the Mississippi Gulf coast, with seven in Biloxi and two in Bay St. Louis. Biloxi is about a 20-minute drive to the east, and you can reach Bay St. Louis by driving west for about 25 minutes.
