Renaissance Mayflower
Originally opened in 1925, the Renaissance Mayflower has been host to some of the most powerful politicians in Washington. Presidents such as Franklin Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge have stayed at the hotel and have used its event space for inaugural balls---which makes it no surprise why the Mayflower is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. Inside the hotel, guests will find a marble-floored lobby and a mahogany lounge that's known for its signature martinis. This luxurious decor also extends into the guest rooms and suites, which feature amenities like silk wall coverings and an Italian marble washroom. The hotel is one block north from the Farragut North Metro station and about 2 miles from the East Potomac Park Golf Course.
