Universal's Islands of Adventure
Disney may be too kid-crowded for teens, but Islands of Adventure has a much more grown-up feel. There are several extreme rides, including the Dueling Dragons (a double coaster) and the Jurassic Park River raft ride, which ends in a 85-foot drop. The virtual 3D ride, the Amazing Adventures of Spider Man, is also popular with teens, as is the Incredible Hulk coaster and the Poseidon Fury, a virtual wild ride.

Shopping Malls
Hanging out at malls may be teens' favorite pastime and one that doesn't require a lot of money, unless the objective is actually shopping. Shopping centers are usually great places to people-watch, see live entertainment, have a soda or a snack. Pointe*Orlando is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Orlando, although teens may be more interested in the entertainment options offered here. The movie theater inside the mall shows the latest films, while nearby Wonderworks offers 100 interactive exhibits, including virtual rides, games and a comedy show. When it is time to take a break and have a snack, Pizzeria Valdiano or Johnny Rockets are great for teens because of their simple menus and affordable prices.

Downtown Disney
This outdoor shopping and entertainment complex offers teens a chance to shop, have fun and experience a more grown-up side of Disney. Planet Hollywood and the Virgin Megastore are both popular with teens, as is the AMC Pleasure Island movie theater complex, which has 24 projection rooms to show all the latest Hollywood films. The DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park is also located here and is must-see for visitors of all ages, while those who want great views of the Buena Vista lagoon can enjoy the boardwalk and the live entertainment often found along the way.
