Copper Mountain, Colorado, is a small ski resort village located 90 miles outside of Denver and 30 miles to the east of Vail. The area boasts most urban facilities but is designed more for summer and winter recreation, with a large ski mountain as a backdrop and the 18-hole Copper Creek Golf Club fronting the village along Interstate 70. You'll find a variety of accommodations around the mountain, most of which are in Frisco, five miles to the east.

The Copper Mountain Resort owns pretty much all the lodging that's available in the village of Copper Mountain. The resort's rentals offer a good selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums located at the base of the ski hill and within a couple blocks of the golf courses as well as the town's bars and restaurants. Property amenities and configurations are dependent upon what room you choose, and units can be rented for a night, a week and sometimes longer.

Woods Inn
There are two exits off of I-70 that lead in to the town of Frisco. The Woods Inn is located just off the west exit and located on the west end of town. For the golfer, Copper Creek is less than five minutes' drive away, and the award-winning Breckenridge Golf Club is about 15 minutes to the north. The Woods Inn has twelve rooms, ranging in size from one-bedroom accommodations to units with full kitchens and loft sleeping. All of the rooms feature unique furnishings, some with themes and all the comforts of home including sitting areas and cable television. The inn has a Jacuzzi in the backyard, and the shops, restaurants and bars of Frisco are less than two blocks from the hotel.

Best Western Lake Dillon Lodge
The Best Western Lake Dillon Lodge is at the far east exit to Frisco and 100 yards from a small shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, shops and a Wal-Mart. The Best Western is still a mere five miles from Copper Creek Golf Course but also provides centralized access to the award-winning Raven Golf Club in Silverthorne, 10 minutes to the east. The hotel has 127 rooms on four floors, an indoor pool and two hot tubs, and a complimentary breakfast served in the lounge. There's a restaurant on-site along with a good bar for grabbing a night cap. The rooms are clean and well maintained with cable television and free HBO, coffee makers and high-speed Internet access.
