Paley's Place
Paley's Place is a French restaurant and wine bar in Portland's posh Alphabet District. This 50-seat restaurant, located in a Victorian house, offers both outdoor and indoor seating. Food is made with local, organic ingredients, and the menu changes seasonally. A sample dinner might include an entree of rabbit ravioli served with bacon, mushrooms and summer squash, followed by a desert of sorbet or a tart with sweet cream. Paley's Place also has an extensive cheese menu: consider pairing a goat or sheep's milk cheese plate with one of the restaurant's many wine selections.

Papa Haydn is a desert lovers' paradise, serving up spectacularly decorated cakes, pies and tortes. Treat yourself after a day golfing with a desert like the white chocolate mint torte, a mixture of mint mousse, chocolate and almond joconde cake accented with espresso ganache. Entrees are usually meat heavy and include steak, pork chops and halibut. Papa Haydn hosts a full bar; and with the comfortable living room ambiance of the restaurant, it's worth taking your time when eating here. Papa Haydn is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Serratto
Serratto is an Italian and Mediterranean restaurant that glows with natural light thanks to its huge windows. Start with an Italian appetizer of fried calamari, or a Mediterranean plate of blue mussels served in a garlic white wine sauce. The huge dinner menu includes entrees such as roasted muscovy duck breast served with poached potatoes, green beans and chard and drizzled with a dried cherry demiglace. Serratto also offers a kid's menu that caters to more American tastes: macaroni and cheese, pizza, grilled cheese and fries. The beverage menu is dominated by wine, but you can still enjoy a cocktail like the blood orange whiskey sour or the pear martini. Serratto is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
