Cocoa Beach is known for its beautiful beaches, but there are so many more sights and activities available. Not only is it a destination for the weekend golfer, but the many indoor attractions and water sports it offers make it attractive for the entire family.

Cocoa Beach Country Club is located on a peninsula surrounded by the Banana River Lagoon at the end of Minutemen Causeway.The course has 27 holes broken into nine-hole courses. The River course is 3,342 yards and par is 36, the Dolphin course is 3,021 yards (par-36) and the Lakes course is 3,372 yards (par-35). The holes on each course are named after the birds of the area. And if you're looking for wildlife, you can spot dolphins, alligators and a variety of birds during your round.

Visit a Museum

At the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science, visitors can check out fossils and artifacts from animals that lived thousands of years ago. Museum exhibits include an archaeological dig more than 7,000 years old, customs of Ais and Seminole Indian tribes, development of the citrus industry, and the first settlers to the area in the 19th century. It also has 22 acres that include trails and a nature preserve populated with wildlife. The trails are open and free to the public during museum hours.

Water sports

Kayak through Cocoa Beach's ecosystem in the Thousand Islands area, while exploring Mangrove Channel. Wildlife such as dolphin, manatees and a variety of birds can be spotted on this journey. When you call, ask for Bill Kowalik.
