The Waldorf=Astoria
The Waldorf Astoria is a famous landmark hotel in New York City. The Waldorf Astoria became a landmark hotel in 1993 and since then has spent $40 million in restorations. Some famous guests of the Waldorf Astoria include former U.S. President Herbert Hoover who stayed during the 1950s and 1960s, Retired U.S. General Douglas MacArthur who stayed during the same period as Herbert Hoover, and Marilyn Monroe who stayed at the hotel during 1955. Today, the Waldorf Astoria has 1,416 guest rooms and 303 suites. The rooms are incredibly unique because they are all decorated differently, even featuring different art pieces or art "motifs". The Waldorf Astoria's amenities include the Guerlain spa which is located on the 19th floor and contains 16 rooms, two lounges within the spa and natural lighting. There are four restaurants, three lounges within the hotel which, of course, are decorated distinctively so that no two are alike, and 24-hour room service.
