Daytime Wear
Although, shorts and T-shirts were the uniform during summer, be prepared for sudden cooler weather as the evening begins. The temperature is still comfortable in October, but the evenings can surprise you with a drop in temperature. This time of year, it's always smart to dress in layers. You can always take off a sweater or hoodie while inside casinos, restaurants or shopping. Take along comfortable walking shoes and a swimsuit. It might still be warm enough to get some sunbathing in, and if not, there is always the hot tub at night. Bring sunglasses--you still need them in October.
Evening Attire
Everyday restaurants don't require any special clothing other than shirts and shoes. But some upscale restaurants and clubs may require or expect patrons to be dressed less casually, with a tie and jacket for men and nicer dresses and slacks for women. Most people dress up when clubbing or going to production shows.
Golf
Most golf courses rent clubs, so there is no need to pack them. But bring gloves and golf shoes--you don't want new items you'll need to work into a comfortable state, and stiff shoes or gloves can affect your game, detracting from your enjoyment of your Las Vegas trip.
