Roti Indian Bistro focuses on using local and organic ingredients to create Indian food suitable for the San Franciscan palate. In addition to favorite Indian dishes such as chicken jalfrezi and gosht vindaloo (lamb and potatoes), this restaurant also serves several creative specials each month. Clay Oven, located at the opposite end of the West Portal neighborhood, is open daily for both lunch and dinner. This is one of six restaurants in a small, local chain in the San Francisco Bay Area. Clay Oven's extensive menu includes many of the classic Indian dishes, such as chicken tikka masala, lamb korma and sag paneer. If you want to venture out of West Portal, consider visiting Golden Gate Park, where you can play golf at the Golden Gate Park Golf Course. When you're done, take the two-block stroll from the park to Tasty Curry Restaurant. Try the popular chicken tikka masala or the mali botee special (chicken in cream sauce) while you're here.
