Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a popular stop for golfers, with many state-of-the-art courses in the area. Myrtle Beach has many oceanfront motel options on Ocean Boulevard, a road that runs parallel to the beach. The boulevard is also home to quite a few of the city's famous arcades, mini-golf courses, souvenir shops, restaurants and bars. Motels on Ocean Boulevard are also located fairly close to several of the local golf courses.
Longview Motel
The Longview Motel has been a family-owned lodging staple on Ocean Boulevard for decades, and is one of the few remaining retro-style oceanfront motels in Myrtle Beach. The motel, located just a few blocks south of the Family Kingdom Amusement Park in downtown Myrtle Beach, features no-frills standard rooms. Each room does have either a balcony or a patio, as well as cable TV and air conditioning. Guests at the Longview Motel have access to the on-site outdoor swimming pool. Whispering Pines Golf Course is about one mile to the west.

Beach Side Motel
The Beach Side Motel is an Ocean Boulevard motel that offers its guests direct views of the ocean from the balconies attached to many of the rooms. The motel, which features suite-style accommodations as well as standard rooms, has a sun deck with an outdoor swimming pool. All rooms and suites include a refrigerator and a microwave, and guests have access to an Internet connection. The Beach Side Motel is close to many local restaurants, including the Sea Trawler seafood buffet and the Pan-American Pancake House. Midway Par-3 Golf Course is about a mile to the southwest.

Viking Motel
The Viking Motel's sprawling property makes it a great bet for families and groups traveling together. The motel offers a variety of accommodations, such as standard rooms with two double beds and one- and two-room units with full kitchens. Some rooms at the Viking have a private, oceanfront balcony, and all rooms without kitchens include a small refrigerator. The complex's sun deck, full-size swimming pool and kiddie pool are all available to visitors. The Viking also offers eight golf packages, which include lodging costs, green fees, cart fees and taxes. River Oaks Golf Plantation is four miles to the north.
