Ike's Place
Ike's Place, a small sandwich shop, is open Monday for lunch and every other day for lunch and dinner. You can build your own sandwich with all the traditional ingredients or choose one of the dozens of creative (and creatively named) pre-designed sandwiches offered here. Meat eaters can choose from such sandwiches as the Nacho Girl (wild salmon burger with mushrooms, avocado and Swiss cheese), the Paradise Found (ham, pineapple, marinara sauce and provolone) or the Sorry Charlie (tuna and cheese). Vegetarian options include the Meatless Mike (vegan meatballs, marinara and pepper jack), while vegans can enjoy options like the Vegan Cow Tipper (boca burger, vegan dirty sauce and soy cheese).

L'ardoise Bistro
L'ardoise Bistro offers authentic French food in the Castro District. The frequently changing menu includes appetizers such as escargots in gueusaille with garlic parsley sauce and butter lettuce with sweet anchovies and mustard vinaigrette. Entrees include a traditional coq au vin with potatoes and spinach and a fricassee of mushroom risotto with white truffle oil. L'ardoise is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Anchor Oyster Bar
As its name suggests, the Anchor Oyster Bar serves various seafood dishes. Some options on the menu are Boston-style clam chowder, oyster shooters, Caesar salad with shrimp, crabmeat or prawns and steamed clams, mussels, oysters or combinations of the three. Two entrees are always available: sauteed garlic prawns with salad and vegetables and a crab cake with salad and potatoes. There are also several fresh seafood specials available daily. Poesia, which serves traditional Italian cuisine, is open for dinner seven days a week.
