The Types of Hotels in Orlando, Florida
Orlando is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors a year. Orlando offers up over 100,000 hotel bedrooms for guests. Because those who visit Orlando come from all types of backgrounds and economic stations, there are accommodations tailored to fit everyone's need.

Theme Park Hotels

Many people stay at one of the hotels located at the Disney or Universal Orlando theme parks. Staying there offers the convenience of access to the theme parks, restaurants and shopping inside the park and sometimes inside the hotel itself as well. The price and amenities vary considerably from staying at value resorts like Disney's All-Star Movie Resort to more luxurious accommodations like the Loews Portofino Bay hotel at Universal.

Upscale Hotels

If you've got the money to spend, you can stay in the lap of luxury in Orlando. For the most part, luxury hotels in Orlando are located away from the theme parks and closer to downtown or the airport, although Disney World features one of the most luxurious hotels in town, the Grand Floridian. Other great choices include the Peabody Hotel, which showcases its fame duck march, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and the Gaylord Palms Resort.
