San Diego Hotels Near the Convention Center
San Diego is home to several different attractions and venues. One the most popular and often used venues is the San Diego Convention Center. The Horton Grand Hotel, Manchester Grand Hyatt and Bristol Hotel are all located within a mile of of the convention center and also near several golf courses. After spending time at the San Diego Convention Center, business travelers can check into these hotels and then practice their golf swing.

Horton Grand Hotel

The Horton Grand Hotel is located in the Gaslamp area of San Diego and, according to its website, "is one of the closest hotels to the San Diego Convention Center." The Victorian-styled rooms are unique in that no two rooms are have the same decoration. Every room has period antiques and a gas fireplace. Each of the suites are about 600-square feet and have a small kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, sink and coffee maker. Other amenities and services include a fine dining restaurant named Ida Bailey's, a piano bar, brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and high tea on Saturdays from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

Located downtown, the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is a luxury property with an oceanfront view of the Pacific and overlooks Seaport Village. Amenities and services include the King Spa, high-seed Internet access, babysitting, a 24-hour gym, two tennis courts, an outdoor pool and a fire pit that has a view of San Diego Bay. Several restaurants are located on this property as well and cover a wide range of food. Dining options include Sally's Seafood on the Bay, Lael's Steakhouse, Ann Marie's Coffee House and Redfield's Deli. Lounges and bars include the Grand Lobby Bar, Top of the Hyatt, Redfield's Sports Bar, Pool Bar & Grill, Sally's Bar and Kin Lounge. The hotel is roughly half a mile from the San Diego Convention Center.

Bristol Hotel

The Bristol Hotel is a boutique hotel located less than a mile from the San Diego Convention Center. According to the Bristol Hotel website, this hotel is only one of seven San Diego Hotels that received both a Green Eco-Leaf Rating and a California Green Lodging Program. All rooms come with free wireless Internet and are non-smoking. There is same-day laundry service on the premises, a computer station in the lobby, and Daisy's Bar & Bistro, a restaurant that focuses on California cuisine.
