Cornwall, New York, is a small city on the Hudson River of just under 13,000 residents as of 2007. There is only one golf course in Cornwall proper, but there are over 20 courses within 15 miles of Cornwall. Cornwall is only 50 miles north of New York City and acts as a "bedroom community" for the Big Apple. The Storm King Golf Course is a 9-hole golf course is the local green, but there are many golf courses within an easy 20 minute drive to offer a wide range of options. The area is well known for cultural events like the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, as well as several state parks.

Windsor Motel

The Windsor Motel is located on Route 9 West, less than two miles from the 9 hole public golf course, Teeshots Inc. This hotel is located on the north end of Cornwall, at the border with New Windsor. The Stewart Airport is located roughly 5 miles away. Single, double, and suite rooms are all available, as well as efficiency apartments. This Inn is within easy walking distance of the Sloop Hill State Unique Area, and less than two miles from the Teeshots Inc. Golf Course, as well as a five-minute drive to the Storm King Golf Club. Amenities at the Travel Inn include free Wi-Fi Internet, heating & air conditioning, and cable (including HBO). There are pricing specials for groups and long-term stays, as well as a military discount.

Cadet Motel

The Cadet Motel is located in Cornwall on Route 9, between the Storm King Golf Club and the Teeshots Inc. Golf Course. This motel is 3 miles from both courses. This motel is small, and only has a few rooms available. This locally owned motel's name comes from the local influence of the West Point Military Academy, which is located within 20 miles. Basic amenities include cable TV, air conditioning/heating, and free parking. Prices at the Cadet Motel start at $45 a night (as of 2009).
