Orlando, Florida, may be your favorite location for golfing, but your kids will have other ideas. Their first few list toppers likely will include theme parks. Perhaps you can talk them into a relaxing nature walk after a few days of roller coasters and Mickey Mouse. Then, perhaps, you can get that last round of golf in before you head for the airport.

Sea World
Sea World is most known for the Shamu (Orca Whale) Show, but the second most popular, with kids, has to be walking through the clear plastic tunnel, where sharks and other sea life swim around them. The family can dine with Shamu, poolside, at a buffet with adult- and kid-friendly foods. For the little ones, Breakfast with Elmo and Friends starts the day out having fun. The adults and kids can enjoy the Makahiki Luau in the evening with tropical food and entertainment.

Lake Eola Park
After your vacation budget has dwindled and your feet have walked several miles of theme parks, spend a day at Eola Park. It's free. The family will enjoy the 43-acre, downtown Orlando park. Bring some dry bread for the swans, take a walk on one of their many paths, and ride the swan-shaped paddle boats. Stop by a local deli before you bring along a take-out picnic lunch to eat in their picnic area. However, there are several restaurants overlooking the lake and park, if you prefer. After lunch, the kids will enjoy playing in one of the park's playgrounds. Visit on Sundays to enjoy the local Farmers Market with fresh vegetables, fruits and crafts, such as handmade jewelry and art.
