Art Deco District

The Art Deco district of Miami is one of lore among architectural enthusiasts. People walk through the streets with admiration for buildings such as the Sherbrooke Hotel and Miami Beach Post Office. Stop by the Art Deco Welcome Center for the full history of the district and maps. Walking along Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue and Washington Avenue can give you the dreaded "museum feet," so try a meal at Puerto Sagua. This restaurant serves authentic Cuban cuisine like plantains, Cuban sandwiches and seafood paella. After a meal, take a walk on South Beach, known for its vibrant nightlife.
