Tahoe City Golf Course
The Tahoe City golf course is a regulation-size, 9-hole, par-66 course that is 5,261 yards and has a rating of 65.7 and a slope rating of 111. This is a public course that first opened in 1917 and was designed by May Dunn Hupfel. The course is constructed of bluegrass on the fairways, greens and around the tees and contains several sand traps throughout. There is a driving range on site and both pull carts and gas carts are available to rent. The Old Tahoe Country Kitchen and Par Bar is located on the premises and is open for breakfast, lunch and drinks. The green fees to play a round at the Tahoe City course begin as low as $30 (as of 2009).

Resort at Squaw Creek
The Resort at Squaw Creek golf course is an 18-hole, par-7, 6,931-yard championship course that has a rating of 72.9 and a slope rating of 140. The course first opened in 1991 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones. The signature hole on the course is number six, which is a par 3 and requires driving the ball over a large water hazard to a small green area. There is also a pro shop and golf pro on site for lessons or tips. The resort has lodging accommodations, a spa, restaurants, fitness center and more. Although the course is on the grounds of the Resort at Squaw Creek, it isn't restricted to guests of the resort; it is a public course. The green fees begin around $80 for resort guests and $95 for nonresort guests (prices are as of 2009).

Northstar at Tahoe Resort Golf Course
The Northstar at Tahoe Resort golf course is a par-72, 18-hole course that is 6,897 yards from the back tees to the cups and has a course rating of 69.5 and a slope rating of 129. Robert Muir Graves designed the course, and it is constructed on bluegrass on the fairways, greens and around the tees. The course is a very challenging one that is filled with several tall trees and sand bunkers placed everywhere. There is also a driving range, putting greens, clubhouse, pro shop and restaurant on site. The resort has a swimming pool, fitness facility, tennis courts and lodging accommodations as well. The greens fees to shoot a round at the Northstar course begin around $50 in 2009.
