Baltimore, Maryland is famous for its seafood markets, Old Bay seasoning and the Inner Harbor, which serves both as a shipping hub and a popular tourist destination. If you're headed here for a golf vacation, check out the Diamond Ridge and Forest Park golf courses nearby. Since Baltimore is not a flat city, be prepared to play some hills. If you're here for a good steak as well, all you have to do is head downtown.
The Prime Rib
The management dubs this restaurant "the civilized steakhouse." You won't see any peanut shells on the floor here. Expect leather high-backs, tuxedo-clad staff and gilded walls. The one chink in the sophisticated armor may be the purple leopard carpeting. Steaks on the menu include, of course, prime rib, and also filet mignon (with or without the bone), New York strip, chopped sirloin and flat iron. You can also get a Roquefort steak, topped with Roquefort cheese; or a steak au poivre seasoned with peppercorns and cognac. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jackets are required on Saturday nights.

Shula's
Owned by former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, this steakhouse has a "Perfect Season" theme. It's meant to showcase both the 1972 Dolphins going 16-0 and the quality of the Angus beef on the menu. This is probably the only restaurant you'll find with its steak menu printed on an actual game-played football. On said football you will see filet mignon, prime rib, porterhouse, cowboy steak, New York strip and Kansas City strip. If none of these options interest you, you can order chicken, lamb or fish off of a regular paper menu. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
