Led by Chef-Owner Eric Ripert, Le Bernardin specializes in seafood and is known for serving sustainable fish. Dishes like the whole red snapper and wild sea bass are highly recommended by New York Magazine. Le Bernardin is closed on Sundays.

Masa
For Japanese cuisine at its fanciest, look no further then Masa, an upscale establishment owned by sushi master Masa Takayama. Opened in 2004, Masa has received a four-star rating from the New York Times, and is one of five restaurants in New York to receive the coveted 3-star Michelin award.
Along with its award-winning sushi, Masa's tasting menu consists of dishes like Kobe-beef sukiyaki and sea urchin risotto. Masa's prix-fixe menu is about $400 per person, excluding tax and tip.

Per Se
Overlooking Central Park, Per Se offers sweeping views of New York City as well as elegant food. In 2009, Per Se was voted the best restaurant in New York by the Zagat guide for its New American cuisine and excellent service.
Diners at Per Se have the option of choosing a nine-course chef's tasting menu or a nine-course vegetable menu. Although the menu changes on a daily basis, popular dishes include scallops, macaroni and cheese, and coffee and doughnuts for dessert. Per Se is owned by lauded American chef Thomas Keller.
