Across Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, is where travelers find the the Renaissance Vinoy. The Vinoy is one of the original Tampa Bay area luxury resorts that first appealed to the ultra-wealthy. Guests don't need to be quite as rich anymore to enjoy such luxury features as marble bathrooms, private balconies and large private living areas. There are two heated outdoor pools and the chance for pampering with a body scrub, foot bath or paraffin hand treatment at the spa. Dining options include a bar and grill and steakhouse. This Tampa Bay Hilton resort is located in Clearwater. The selection of rooms and suites offer views of the beach or nearby park. There are two heated pools by the beach as well as an outdoor Jacuzzi. A program for kids scheduled supervised activities takes place daily by the pool. The beach is just a minute's walk from the back of the hotel and guests can escape the sun in the shade cabanas. It is also possible to explore the area by renting a bike or scooters. Diners can enjoy a meal and a view of the beach from the on-site Reflections Restaurant or they can stop by the more casual Coasters Lounge for a drink as the sun sinks into the water.
