Things to Do and See in Las Vegas

Things to Do and See in Las Vegas
Every time you turn around in Las Vegas, you'll see a landmark such as the half-scale Eiffel Tower replica at the Paris hotel and casino or the Stratosphere Tower, the tallest structure west of the Mississippi. Whether your day is spent gambling, flying out to the Grand Canyon or hitting one of the town's many golf courses, you can always find something new and exciting to do in Las Vegas.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay

A lot of things seem out of place in the desert of Las Vegas, but perhaps nothing is more of a shock than seeing the sharks and other marine life at the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef. In addition to sharks with crazy-sharp teeth, this aquarium also features a collection of giant rays and giant sea turtles, as well as one of the most dangerous animals in the oceans, the highly venomous stonefish.

NASCAR Cyber Speedway

If your need for speed is dampened by swimming pools, roulette tables or slow putting greens, then head for the Cyber Speedway. What you find there are highly sophisticated 3-D motion simulator rides that put you behind the wheel of a race car. But don't confuse the Cyber Speedway with a PlayStation 3 game: The car handles like a real one would while speeding around the track, and your line of vision is surrounded a 20-foot-long screen. What you receive is the authentic sensation of speeding along a track at speeds up to 220 mph. The Cyber Speedway simulation is so realistic you might actually get a little sick if you're prone to motion sickness.

Haunted Vegas Tour

When you consider all the bodies allegedly buried in the desert around Las Vegas, you have to believe there must be a lot of ghosts. The three-hour Haunted Vegas Tour includes tickets to the Las Vegas Seance show. The tour also includes sites where people have claimed to see ghosts. Minors under 13 are allowed as long as they accompanied by a parent or guardian.
