The hotel was once a public market building that was renovated to 26 floors of guest rooms, some of which have Sweet Sleeper beds. The restaurant is on a balcony that overlooks the lobby and bar. Old Sacramento, the historical district of the city, is less than a mile from the hotel.

Best Western Sutter House
The Best Western Sutter is less than a mile from the Capitol and nearby Cesar Chavez Park. The governor's mansion is nearby as is the Westfield Downtown Plaza.
