The North Strip runs from the Stratosphere Hotel to Desert Inn Road. In the 1950s and 60s, this was the main part of the Strip. However, many of the older hotels have given way to newer hotels in the Central Strip. Primary hotel/casinos in this area include the Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Sahara and Riviera.
The Central Strip runs from Desert Inn Road to Tropicana Avenue. This is where you are going to find a majority of Las Vegas's world-renowned resort hotels. From North to South, these include Trump Hotel, Wynn Tower, Treasure Island, Palazzo, Venetian, Mirage, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Caesar's Palace, Flamingo, Bally's, Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Monte Carlo, Travelodge, MGM Grand and New York, New York.
The South Strip seems like an extension of Central Strip. Starting at Tropicana Avenue, the South Strip runs out the string of resort hotel casinos. Starting at Excalibur, the hotels are The Excalibur, Tropicana, The Luxor, Mandalay Bay, The Four Seasons, SouthPoint and Silverton.
