Women's Basketball Hall of Fame
Dedicated to all levels of women's basketball, the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame features multimedia presentations and historical artifacts including scrapbooks, trophies, photographs and old uniforms to celebrate women's contribution to the sport. The Hall features many interactive exhibits, including the "Modern Locker Room Exhibit" where you can receive a pep talk from the University of Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt. If you love to play basketball in addition to golf, wear your athletic shoes during your visit--the Hall offers a basketball court with baskets of varying heights. The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is closed Sundays as well as most major holidays.

Knoxville Zoo
The Knoxville Zoo is home to more than 800 animals, including red pandas, a white rhinoceros, zebras, gazelles and scarlet macaws. The zoo was the first zoo in the Western Hemisphere to breed an African elephant in captivity. Additional exhibits include the Meerkat Lookout, Grasslands Africa, Black Bear Falls and Chimp Ridge. The zoo is open 364 days a year and is only closed on Christmas Day.

James White's Fort
Considered the city of Knoxville's founder, James White was a Revolutionary War soldier who was awarded a 1,000-acre land grant located in present-day Knoxville following his service. On this land he built a two-story log home that is available for tour today. The Fort now welcomes thousands of visitors every year and serves as a physical reminder of life two centuries ago in East Tennessee as the Fort features era-related furnishings. James White's Fort is open for tours Monday through Saturday from April to December and Monday through Friday from January to March.

World's Fair Park
Knoxville's World's Fair Park was home to the 1982 World's Fair and features the well-known monument, the Sunsphere. The Sunsphere is a 26-story high tower topped with a golden glass ball. The park is 52 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland perfect for tossing a frisbee, laying in the grass or going for a run. It features interactive fountains and man-made waterfalls, making this a stop for the whole family.
