Austin Hotels by 6th Street

Beyond the many golf courses that the city offers, Austin, Texas, has a number of things to do and see while you visit. Sixth Street is a hub for nightlife entertainment, with restaurants, clubs, bars and shops lining this iconic downtown street. There are also a number of hotels that can be found on and around Sixth Street, allowing you to stay in the center of everything during a visit.

The InterContinental hotel is on the corner of Congress Avenue and Seventh Street. It is only a block from Sixth Street and many of its attractions. This is a historic hotel that has maintained much of its original appeal. The InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel has a lot of charm if you enjoy historic lodgings and its proximity to Sixth Street and a number of Austin golf courses.

The Driskill Hotel ‎

The Driskill Hotel is at Brazos and Sixth Street. It is an old school, historic hotel that has been well-preserved without sacrificing its charm. The Driskill Hotel offers marble bathrooms with large showers and Jacuzzi bath tubs. It has a bar featuring live music. There are rumors that the Driskill Hotel is haunted, drawing interest from ghost hunters all over the world.
