Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian
Anyone who has ever been to Venice will argue that the simulation in Vegas is lacking a little something, but if you don't have the cash to visit the real thing, this simulacrum can be a pleasant diversion. If you're willing to tip the gondolier, you can actually take a ride through a Venetian-style canal. Girls in peasant dresses selling flowers walk past singing opera, and you should keep an eye on those wannabe Casanovas wandering the streets. With nearly 100 stores and restaurants, even if the Venetian facade doesn't appeal, you can find a good reason to visit.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art
Las Vegas is probably more well known for its sense of the tacky than its sense of fine art, but a trip to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art can put quite a damper on that perception. Traveling exhibits here have included tributes to artists like pop art master Roy Lichtenstein and his giant comic strip art as well as the extraordinary personal collection of former stand-up comic Steve Martin. You never know what the museum holds if you walk in cold, but do a little research first and you plan your trip to Las Vegas around the concept of seeing masterpieces of art.

The Eiffel Tower
As with Venice, if you can't actually get to Paris you can find a simulation in Vegas. The view from atop America's Eiffel Tower--rising 460 feet into the air, or half the size of the original--is one of the most spectacular in the city. You don't have to be in love to make the trip to the top of this Eiffel Tower memorable, but as with the real one in Paris, it certainly helps. When you're done looking over the eternally glowing neon oasis that is Vegas, catch a meal at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant.
