Ruth's Chris Steak House
Ruth's Chris Steak House, open since 1972, has been named as "Best Steakhouse" numerous times in local publications. Open for dinner seven nights a week and for lunch on Fridays, Ruth's Chris offers seven different cuts, including two filets, two ribeyes, a New York strip, a porterhouse for two and a T-bone, all of which are topped with butter to produce a signature sizzle as the plate arrives. (The lunch menu offers just the petit filet and New York strip and adds a mixed grill option.) Pair the steak with a wine from the extensive wine list, and enjoy the upscale, relaxed atmosphere with family and friends. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by phone or online.

Crazy Johnnie's Steak House
Crazy Johnnie's Steak House is less expensive and more casual than some of the others, with more of a neighborhood feel. Steak menu items include filet Mischa (filet tips with a garlic cream sauce), a 12 oz. sirloin, a prime cut filet mignon and prime rib au jus. For something a little different, try the overstuffed filet mignon po-boy, a small French bread loaf with filet mignon spilling out of it, accompanied by Crazy Johnnie's signature crazy potatoes. The menu is rounded out with seafood and chicken dishes, and local favorites such as stuffed artichokes.
