Unique Denver Hotels
After a long day at the 27-hole Kennedy or 18-hole Wellshire Golf Course, you may just want to fall into bed, but Denver's hotels have a lot more to offer than just a comfortable bed. A historic and contemporary city, Denver, Colorado, offers some of the most luxurious and unique hotels in the nation, and maybe even the world.

The Curtis

Downtown Denver is home to the Curtis, a boutique hotel based around the elements of American pop culture. Cartoons play in the lobby. Elvis, Austin Powers or Yoda can provide your morning wake-up call, and a five-and-dime store offers guests classic toys, candy and soda pop. Each of the hotel's 13 floors has a fun theme, like Laugh Out Loud, One Hit Wonders, Sci-Fi, Chick Flick and Big Hair. The hotel's restaurant, called the Corner Office, offers a wide selection of food and drinks, and an impromptu game on the lobby Wii console is not out of the question at this place dedicated to fun and play. All rooms feature standard amenities, like a coffeemaker, hair dryer, television and wireless Internet. On-site parking is also available. Room rates start at $114 per night, and guests are allowed to have up to two pets stay with them for an additional fee.

Hotel Teatro

A registered historic landmark, the Hotel Teatro was named one of the top 500 hotels in the world by Travel and Leisure in 2009. Located just across the street from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the hotel features costumes, playbills and photographs from the theater's past programs throughout the lobby and guest rooms. Renowned Chef Kevin Taylor presides over the Hotel Teatro's two restaurants, Restaurant Kevin Taylor, which serves French cuisine, and Prima Ristorante, the home of lighter Italian fare. High speed wireless Internet, dedicated dataports and two-line telephone service is available in all rooms. The Hotel Teatro is a pet-friendly hotel. Rooms start at $199 a night.
