Lake Las Vegas Resort occupies 3,600 acres just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. This luxury resort is built on the banks of Lake Las Vegas and is designed to resemble an Tuscan village. A private golf course on the premises has been built but is not yet open for play as of December 2009. Several hotels are located inside the resort, including MonteLago Village and Ritz-Carlton, and residential homes are available for short-term rental. A 24-hour casino is on-site as well as two world-class spas with a combined area of 39,000 square feet.

Ethel M chocolates can be found in many of the Las Vegas strip casinos, McCarran International Airport and the Fashion Show Mall. The Ethel M Chocolate Factory is located in Henderson and open for free tours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. A self-guided tour includes an inside look at the factory, free chocolate samples and access to the on-site Botanical Cactus Garden featuring over 300 species of desert plants.

Gondola Adventures operates out of the MonteLago Village Resort located on Lake Las Vegas, which is a private lake available only to guests of the Lake Las Vegas resort or gondola customers. Private cruises are available for a romantic outing, but the electric gondolas are large enough to accommodate families or other large groups. As of December 2009, prices range from $135 for a basic 1-hour cruise to $949 for a wedding cruise, which includes a bouquet, boutonniere, minister, photographer and a photo package. Dinner cruises are also available and include a three-course meal. Champagne, sparkling cider, appetizers or chocolates can be added to your cruise for an additional fee.
