Rum Bay
An excellent and very popular dance club, Rum Bay consistently gets top nods from many in the scene and has been voted the top dance club for 5 years in a row by the Colorado Springs Independent, a local newspaper. The venue has multiple floors for dancing, offers a blend of hip hop and house music and has a dueling piano setup on the back side. They have a Ladies Night on Thursday. There is a small cover charge.

The Underground
The Underground is in the YMCA building and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been in operation since 1985, and bands that have played there include Fishbone, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and the Samples. They host a boys' night every Wednesday, with free pool from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and $3.75 for a shot of tequila and a bottle of Corona. Every third Friday is Ladies night, with $3 shots. Prices quoted as of December 2009. On weekends, they play house and trance dance music.

Broadmoor Tavern
After playing 18 holes at the championship golf course, stop into the Broadmoor Tavern for dancing and live music on Thursdays through Sundays. Complete the experience by getting there early and ordering steak or seafood dinners. Bands usually play from 8 to 11 p.m., and there is no cover.

Frankies Bar and Grill
Frankies Bar and Grill is the perfect choice if you want a sports bar. They serve a full menu, including appetizers like hot wings and nachos and entrees like burgers and sandwiches. There are many specials that coincide with sporting events like Denver Broncos games and Air Force Falcons sports. The bar also has plenty of pool tables and TVs for watching sports.

Cowboys
Cowboy's is a popular country dancing nightclub. The club moved in 2008 from its old location on Palmer to a new location downtown. The new dance floor is smaller, but they also have a large selection of karaoke tunes for people to belt out, and also host live music. Cowboy's serves appetizers like nachos and mozzarella sticks, and burgers and sandwiches for dinner. Wednesday through Sunday they have a happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. with $2 domestic bottles and two-for-one drafts (as of December 2009). They also offer line dance and traditional dance lessons on Sundays from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
