Airlines That Fly From Las Vegas to San Francisco
McCarren International Airport (LAS) is the primary airport serving Las Vegas. If you've hit the links in Vegas and are looking for new challenges in San Francisco, you'll probably fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO). A flight from Las Vegas to San Francisco takes about an hour and a half, and some airlines provide non-stop flights.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines offers about seven non-stop flights from LAS to SFO each day. The earliest flight departs Las Vegas at 6:15 a.m., and the latest departs at 7:35 p.m. As of 2009, the maximum weight allowed for checked baggage was 50 lbs., and the maximum size was 62 inches (length plus width plus height). Golf clubs transported in a hard, plastic travel case were accepted and could be tagged as regular luggage. There was no additional fee for golf clubs.

United Airlines

United Airlines also offers about seven non-stop flights from LAS to SFO a day. The earliest flight departs Las Vegas at 6 a.m., and the latest departs at 8:10 p.m. As of 2009, one standard-sized golf bag with clubs and one pair of shoes were allowed in place of one checked bag if it was enclosed in full-length protective cover. The maximum weight was 50 lbs.

US Airways

US Airways offers about four non-stop flights from LAS to SFO a day. The earliest flight departs Las Vegas at 9:28 a.m., and the latest departs at 7:25 p.m. As of 2009, golf equipment was accepted as normal baggage if it was enclosed with a cover, preferably a hard-sided carrier. One item of golf equipment could contain one golf bag with a maximum of 14 clubs, 12 golf balls and one pair of golf shoes.

Virgin America

Virgin America offers about five non-stop flights from LAS to SFO a day. The earliest flight departs Las Vegas at 8:50 a.m., and the latest departs at 8:40 p.m. As of 2009, a hard-sided golf travel bag containing clubs, balls and shoes was allowed in the place of one checked bag; golf bags without a traveling case were not allowed. The bag could weigh up to 70 lbs. and measure up to 62 inches (length plus weight plus height).
